Pricing update, a honest conversation

TLDR: Exponential growth in the app, leading to increase in costs I can longer cover. 2025 Grand final parties will cost $2.99 one time for parties over 5 people. The rest is still free. Party plus coming very soon.

Hi everyone,

The idea of Eurovision vote party came from my personal problem when I attended my friends 30th birthday Eurovision extravaganza weekend away. We arose at 5am (we live in Australia) and bleary-eyed watched the Grand Final and scrambled to collate our paper scorecards while we whipped up a spreadsheet to tally the votes. It took for-ev-er. Thats when I said to my friends that I’ll make a little website just for us next year.

Well I did.. but I thought I’d polish it a bit more and see if anyone else would find it useful. 3 years and over 10,000 users later I think people have!

The Eurovision community is so amazing to be a part of - I have loved building something valuable that you all enjoy. It has been great to speak to some of you with help building this app. So thank you to each one of you for using this little website - its been a fun journey.

I have been covering the costs since its inception - but as the users start to grow, the costs are getting more expensive for the services that I rely on. Things like hosting, email, licenses etc.

I’m a strong believer in paying for something you find of value. Akin to going to your local farmers market and getting some delicious fresh bread, you know its made by a human trying to do their best. Rather than run intrusive ads or selling data (blerg.), I have opted for direct support if you find it valuable.

So what does that mean? For exisiting parties, nothing changes. You still get all the benefits you had. Here’s what the new pricing structure is.

We are launching Party Plus very very soon - our new offering for the ultimate Eurovision fan which will be an optional yearly subscription.
